Open 10.00am – 4.00pm

Our ever popular Snowdrop Weekend will be back again in 2023! Not only will you be able to see the first glimpse of Spring and have the pleasure of seeing our beautiful snowdrops in bloom but you will also be helping to support the two chosen charities for this weekend.

On the 11th we will be raising funds for The Pearl Exchange (thepearlexchange.org.uk). Founded in 2020, following the death of Pearl Bamford in 2019 aged 19, her parents Rose & Johnny felt compelled to assist the younger generation of North Cornwall and Devon and help them build more positive futures. The Pearl Exchange aims to improve the lives of 18-30 year olds through creative practices and cultural experiences. Supporting them through counselling and wellbeing activities that lead to work and life opportunities.

Our second chosen charity on the 12th will be CLEAR. They are a Cornwall based charity dedicated to the highest levels of care and support for people of all ages and all genders impacted by abuse and other emotional trauma. Their mission is to help children, young people and adults harmed by abuse and emotional trauma and to prevent abuse from occurring.

A suggested donation of £5 per person will be collected on the drive – cash only please (children are free)

No need to pre-book, just turn up

Dogs welcome – on leads around the car park, cafe and formal gardens but can go off lead in the woods

Free parking

The House won’t be open but our 50 acres of gardens will be open for you to wander around and spot the Snowdrops and a few other blooms that will be starting to show their faces!

The Peacock Cafe will be open for delicious snacks, treats and light lunches!

Garden accessibility ………… some of our pathways are gravelly and some are flat. Some smaller mobility scooters can struggle in some areas and of course it all depends on the individual when pushing a manual wheelchair. Our gardens are Grade II listed so not all of the areas may be suitable for some mobility scooters or wheelchairs. The cafe and the Italian garden is accessible.
