Pencarrow House & Gardens

Pencarrow House and Gardens in Cornwall, has been the friendly family home of the Molesworth-St Aubyns for almost 500 years. This makes us unique, as we are not part of the National Trust.

Tucked away on the edge of Bodmin Moor, this fascinating Cornish Georgian gem offers plenty to do for all, including families. We have a Grade 11 listed garden, Iron Age fort, children’s play area, café and gift shop. And of course, beautiful gardens that have highlights throughout the seasons.

Pet friendly – We are dog friendly, pets are welcome, and with 50 acres to explore there really is something for everyone.

Peacock café

OPPORTUNITY…

We are looking for a café manager to run our busy Peacock Café at Pencarrow House & Gardens.

Do you have a passion for high quality food and drink? We are looking for someone with a food management background with exceptional customer service and people skills with an eye for detail, whilst being financially and commercially astute.

The Peacock Café can get very busy at times and you would need to be able to keep a cool head whilst motivating your team to provide an excellent level of service for our visitors.

The Peacock Café is situated in the heart of Pencarrow, in beautiful surroundings. Pencarrow is the home of the Molesworth St-Aubyn family and has been for the last 500 years. The house and gardens are open to the public and our visitors enjoy either a light lunch, coffee and cake or a Cornish cream tea during their visit here and is an important and integral part of the visitor experience.

We are between Bodmin and Wadebridge and will be open every day except Saturdays from the 7th April until the 31st October (7 month season). There will be a March start date to start getting the café ready for opening and also a weekend in November for our Christmas Craft Fair.

We look forward to receiving applications from anyone interested; we plan to shortlist in January and interview in February ready for a start date in March.

Please e-mail CV to info@pencarrow.co.uk
